Building a strong talent pipeline and future workforce for the regional business community means ensuring the students of today have the necessary skills of tomorrow. The Daytona Regional Chamber in partnership with Volusia County Schools, hosts Level Up: Professional Skills and Personal Branding, a summit to equip high school juniors and seniors with the skills they need to launch a career. Student attendees will take part in this interactive program with business leaders sharing their expertise on the requirements of a professional workplace. Students will learn about the four following topics: Communication, Leadership, Organization & Time Management, and Punctuality & Work Ethic. Volunteers will lead the conversations in rotating 15-minute sessions. Following the discussions on these vital employability skills, participating students will have an opportunity to engage in a small group business lunch with one of the business volunteers. The finale features a keynote speech from a local business executive.

The event provides an opportunity for Chamber members to network with their local elected officials in a low-stakes environment. Get to know those who represent you at the local, state, and federal levels and connect with your community. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be available.

Each year, the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce plans the annual Volusia Days in Tallahassee event to give Chamber and community members the opportunity to visit the State Capitol, meet their legislators, and advocate for the priorities of Volusia County. This event takes place over the course of three (3) days and features a welcome reception, panel discussions with lobbyists, agency heads, and elected officials, breakfast with guest speakers, legislative meetings, and more. There are also networking opportunities for attendees to meet people from not only across the County as part of Volusia Days, but to connect with visitors from across the State. Join the Daytona Regional Chamber during this great event and make your voice heard in the State Capitol!
